Every year Aga Khan Foundation provides full scholarships for graduate study to students in Pakistan. For 2014 2015 the scholarship deadline is 31st March.

Every year Aga Khan Foundation provides full scholarships for graduate study to students in Pakistan. For the academic year 2014 to 2015, the scholarship deadline for Pakistani’s is 31st March. Applicants in Pakistan can get the application forms from Aga Khan Foundation in Pakistan.

Eligible Subjects: Students from Pakistan can apply in the field of Health, Architecture, Planning & Building, Civil Society & Culture, Rural & Economic Development, Humanitarian Assistance, Education and Music.

Degree Level: The Aga Khan Foundation provides scholarships to both Master’s & PhD level applicants. However slight preference is given to those applying for the Master’s programs.

Scholarship can be availed at: The AKF scholarship can be availed in the following countries only: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique, Madagascar, France, Portugal, UK, USA and Canada.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be a citizen and resident of Pakistan
• Preference is given to students under 30 years of age.
• Some work experience is mandatory in the chosen field of study

Scholarship is Open for: Students from Pakistan.

Scholarship Description: The Aga Khan Foundation in Pakistan provides needy but well qualified students an opportunity to study abroad on a full scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant and 50% loan every year.

Duration of scholarship: 1 to 5 years

Award of the Scholarship: The AKF scholarship provides full tuition and living support to the applicant.

Selection Criteria: The AKF selects students from Pakistan on the following basis:

• Good academic records
• Genuine financial need
• Unconditional admission in a reputed university
• Clear vision and convincing career plans
• Participation in extra-curricular activities
• Work Experience in the chose area of interest

Notification: Admission decisions take place in June and July. The applicants from Pakistan are apprised of the decisions immediately after that.

How to Apply: Students in Pakistan can obtain application forms after January 1st 2014 from AKF offices in Pakistan. After filling the forms they must be mailed directly to the AKF foundation along with the supporting documentation. The address of AKF office in Pakistan is:
